Melinda Bihn is the head of school at French American International School and International High School in San Francisco, California, where she also serves on the Board of Directors of the California Association of Independent Schools. She has been a teacher of English and an administrator in international schools in Europe and independent schools in the United States. Bihn’s dissertation explored the experiences of unaccompanied international students in a U.S. independent school where she served as Head of Upper School. She earned her doctorate in education from the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in the teaching and administration of English as a second language from Trenton State College (overseas), a master’s in comparative literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her bachelor’s degree from Santa Clara University.
