Patricia Cruice, Author

Having spent 27 years in public education, Patricia Cruice has served as the principal of a K–8 school for the past 9 years. She initially embraced an inquiry stance as a beginning teacher through her studies at the Prospect Center and engagement with the Philadelphia Teachers’ Learning Cooperative. As a teacher, a mentor, and a member of the Federation of Teachers’ Executive Board for 10 years, she has advocated for an approach to teaching that links teacher and student learning. Cruice earned her doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Pennsylvania, her master’s degree in education and certification in elementary education from Antioch/New England Graduate School, a master’s from Lehigh University in educational administration, and her BA from Temple University.
