Melinda Bihn, Author

Melinda Bihn is the head of school at French American International School and International High School in San Francisco, California. She has been a teacher of English and an administrator in international schools in Europe and independent schools in the United States. Bihn’s dissertation explored the experiences of unaccompanied international students in a U.S. independent school where she served as Head of Upper School. She earned her doctorate in education from the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in the teaching and administration of English as a second language from Trenton State College (overseas), a master’s in comparative literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her bachelor’s degree from Santa Clara University.
